The Philippines' leading low-cost carrier, Cebu Pacific Air (PSE:CEB) increases the number of available seats for its flights between Cebu and Ozamiz, starting October 1, 2014.
The ATR aircraft utilized now offers 72 seats, and will be upgraded to an Airbus A319 which caters to 156 passengers.
Ozamiz City is agricultural in nature with 74% of its land area devoted solely for food production and Cebu happens to be one of the two major markets of the city's products.
"With the additional seats to and from Ozamiz, we hope to contribute to boosting tourism and trade between the two cities. Since there are more available seats, we can also offer more low fares," said CEB VP for Marketing and Distribution Candice Iyog.
Lowest year-round fares for the Cebu-Ozamiz route start at P768.

CEB's 51-strong fleet is comprised of 10 Airbus A319, 28 Airbus A320, 5 Airbus A330 and 8 ATR-72 500 aircraft. It is one of the most modern aircraft fleets in the world. Between 2014 and 2021, Cebu Pacific will take delivery of 11 more brand-new Airbus A320, 30 Airbus A321neo, and 1 Airbus A330 aircraft.
