To accommodate passenger demand
The Philippines' leading low-cost carrier, Cebu Pacific Air (PSE:CEB) intends to fulfill passenger demand for inter-island flights this summer, by adding flight frequencies and slashing fares for March to June travel.
"As a Philippine carrier, it has always been our goal to make travel around the Philippines easy and affordable. Through these additional inter-island flights and our extensive network, we hope to serve guests during one of the busiest travel seasons of the year," said CEB VP for Marketing and Distribution Candice Iyog.
From March to June 2014, CEB adds 18% more seats to Cebu, Butuan, Davao, Iloilo, Zamboanga and Tawi-Tawi.
CEB flights between Cebu and Butuan will increase from 10 times to 12 times weekly, from March 31 to April 12, and from April 17 to June 7, 2014.
Those headed from Cebu to Davao and vice versa can also choose from 36 weekly flights from April 1 to June 15, 2014, up from 29 weekly flights.
Meanwhile, the flight frequency between Cebu and Iloilo will be twice daily (14 times weekly) from April 1 to June 8, 2014, up from 10 weekly flights.
The airline also adds more flights to Zamboanga from March 31 to April 12, and from April 17 to June 7, 2014. Flights between Zamboanga and Cebu will be increased from a daily to a 10 times weekly frequency. Flights between Zamboanga and Tawi-Tawi will also increase from daily to 9 times weekly.
"Because of these additional flights, we are offering a seat sale for these routes from February 28 to March 3, 2014, for as low as P99. We hope this enables even more Juans to fly," Iyog added.
For travel from March 15 to June 30, 2014, passengers can book P99 seats between Cebu and Iloilo. P199 seats are also available from Cebu to Davao, and from Zamboanga to Cebu and Tawi-Tawi. Also up for grabs are P399 seats from Cebu to Butuan.
Those traveling from Cebu to Davao can book seat sale fares, for travel during the Big Davao Fun Sale. It is a Davao city-wide shopping sale with up to 80% in discounts, to be held from March 14 to April 16, 2014.
For bookings and inquiries, guests can go to www.cebupacificair.com or call reservation hotlines (02)7020-888 or (032)230-8888. The latest seat sales can also be found on CEB's official Twitter (@cebupacificair) and Facebook pages.
CEB's 50-strong fleet is comprised of 10 Airbus A319, 29 Airbus A320, 3 Airbus A330 and 8 ATR-72 500 aircraft. It is one of the most modern aircraft fleets in the world. Between 2014 and 2021, Cebu Pacific will take delivery of 13 more brand-new Airbus A320, 30 Airbus A321neo, and 3 Airbus A330 aircraft.
